Looking ahead, we are in the process of establishing Jabu Bags as a Socially Responsible Business in Canada, where all members of the project can benefit financially as we grow. We believe that business can work to assist in development and remove the barriers of dependency on donations. We aim to do this by practicing the principles of fair trade, and providing quality products that are fashionable and ethical.

We see a future where more women in the two rural communities we work in will be able to join the project, learn a new employable skill, and have the opportunity to make a living through sewing. We want to offer each women the chance to make above fair wages so that they can not only live with dignity, but also save for the future. Our goal is to get both communities working at a capacity where this is possible, and where a sewing workshop is provided for safer and healthier working conditions.
